Dio Domingo Gets Top Knock Down Price at 2008 Verden Summer Auction

The Celle state stud stallion Don Frederico is the sire of the top priced horse of the 2008 Verden Summer Auction 2008. With an auction sales price of 35,000 euro, Dio Domingo was the best selling horse of the auction collection. 

The dark bay horse with convincing, elastic movements was sold to a dressage yard in Westfalia. August Struss from Elze, Germany, bred Dio Domingo out of a Rotspon x Galvano dam. Skywalker by Stakkato/Espri (breeder: Manfred Gerlad, Ahnsbeck) was the top-priced show jumping horse of this collection. He will move to Bavaria.

Coming close to the top price was Royal Flush, a Royal Highness x Warkant x Weltmeyer offspring, selling for 34,000 euro to Hungaria.

108 Hanoverian riding horses were sold at an average auction sales price of 12,712 euro. 49 horses will be exported, ten of them to the United States, followed by nine to Great Britain. 16 nations in total bought young sport horses in Verden.
