Belgium's number one FEI dressage pony Alexandre Dumas has been sold to Sweden. The 10-year old German Reitpony gelding (by Don Pedro x Lucky Strike) sold to 12-year old Mathilde Hannell, who is trained by Cecilia Kristoffersen.
Alexandre Dumas became one of Europe's most successful FEI Dressage ponies under now 15-year old Noemie Goris. The pony was originally acquired in Great Britain in November 2006. Dumas had competed at the 2005 Bundeschampionate and in 2006 was shown at international FEI level under Georgina Roberts.
Under Noemie Goris the bay gelding came into the international spotlight. The pair made it onto the Belgian pony team and competed at the 2008 European Championships where they finished fourth with the team and 11th in the individual finals. They won bronze at the Belgian Championships.
In 2009, the combination improved more and became the best performing Belgian pair at the 2009 European Pony Championships with a sixth individual place. They also won the CDI-P Zwolle as well as the Belgian Pony Championships last weekend.
Young Mathilde Hannell already has show experience with her two other ponies Sergeant Pepper and Chardonnay and Alexandre Dumas will take her into the FEI division.
