The 4-year old Westfalian licensed stallion Licosto became the price highlight of the 2009 Westfalian Autumn Elite Auction held in Munster-Handorf on October 4, 2009.
The liver chestnut stallion is by Licotus x Rosenkavalier. For 200,000 euro Alfons Baumann's stallion, which competed at the Bundeschampionate, sold to a Bavarian stallion station.
The second most expensive horse was Real Fascination, a 3-year old bay mare by Real Diamond x Ehrentusch. She sold for 82,000 euro. The 3-year old bay mare La Noblesse (by Laudabilis x Beltain) neared that price. She was the third best selling horse of the auction and sold for 80,000 euro.
The 5-year old licensed palomino pony stallion Tivio (by Timberland x Parino B) fetched the highest knock down price for a pony. He sold for 33,000 euro to Italian Grand Prix rider Anna Paprocka-Campanella.
Fifty-five horses were presented at auction and they achieved an average price of 25,227 euro.
