Katholt's Bossco became the price highlight of the Danish Warmblood Spring Auction, held every year at the Stallion Licensing in Herning.
Auctioneer Casper Cassøe had a total of 26 horses under the hammer, and 54% of the horses changed ownership during the auction. The average price for the horses sold was 21,935 € and all together they generated a turnover of 307,100 €.
As the dark chestnut son of Blue Hors Don Schufro, Katholt’s Bossco, trotted into the arena and impressed everyone with a clear rhythm, a cool head and wonderful rideability, he made it clear that he easily equaled the quality of the licensed colts. A minor veterinarian issue kept this colt from being licensed, but as a dressage prospect he attracted great interest from professionals like Andreas Helgstrand and others. Blue Hors Aps got the final bid and bought this future dressage star for 47,000 €.
The collection also included four licensed colts. 47,000 euro was not enough to purchase the chestnut Barolo V. by Blue Hors Don Romantic as the owner decided to take the colt back home for that price. The handsome and well-moving jumping colt Charlton Sem (by Cajus) became the most expensive jumper and sold to Stutteri Ask for 40,000 €.
A Norwegian client succeeded in purchasing the very attractive Lillevangs Rush, a licensed colt by Blue Hors Rush Hour, for 29,600€
The dressage horses clearly fetched the highest prices. The most expensive jumping horse was Toftehøjs Credeau (by Crelido), the five-year-old winner of the young horse championships, scoring a rare 9.5 and 9.0. He sold for 27,000 €.
