Minna Telde and her Hanoverian stallion Don Charly were unable to make their outdoor show debut at the CDI Hagen last weekend. The chestnut stallion by Don Gregory most likely injured himself during transport from Sweden to Germany.
Minna Telde schooled Don Charly on Thursday at the show but felt he was off. Team veterinarian Jonas Tornell looked at the horse but could not detect any injury. "It's not serious," Minna Telde told Tidningen Ridsport. "We couldn't find any swelling so he probably knocked himself on the trip."
At his arrival back home in Sweden, X-rays and ultrasounds were made but even then nothing special was detected.
The CDI Hagen would have been the first outdoor competition of the season running up to the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. Telde will start her horse again at the CDIO Rotterdam in June, where WEG judges will be judging the riders.
