The British Dressage selectors announced the team that will represent Great Britain at the 2010 European Championships to be held at Bishop Burton College, Yorkshire, 27 July to 1 August 2010.
The British pony dressage team includes:
- Charlotte Fry - Andexer
14, from Driffield, North Humberside, riding Mrs R Sherwin's Andexer, a 14.1hh 8 yr old bay stallion by Anjershof Rocky - Claire Gallimore - Gigolo
16, from St Albans, Hertfordshire, riding Mrs J Gallimore's Gigolo, a 14.1hh 12 yr old chestnut gelding by Going East - Charlotte Gill - Ferrari
16, from York, North Yorkshire, riding Mrs J Gill's Ferrari, a 14.2hh 12 year old chestnut gelding - Erin Williams - Danny Boy B
12, from Barlow, Derbyshire, riding Mrs C William's Danny Boy B, a 14.2hh 13 yr old chestnut gelding by Flying Dream
The first reserve is Roxanne Shipley, 15, from York, North Yorkshire, riding Mrs A Shipley's Best Shakomo, a 14.2hh 13 year old bay gelding by Black Boy. The second reserve is Harriette Williams, 13, from Harlow, Essex, riding her own Fijal Figaro, a 14.2hh 14 year old brown gelding by Peveril Peter Piper.
Liz Mills will assist as Chef d’Equipe, Peter Storr as team trainer. There will be a team concentration weekend on 24/25 July at Kilbees Farm, Berkshire by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Pidgley.
The combined dressage, show jumping and eventing Pony European Championships take place at Bishop Burton College, East Yorkshire 28th July - 1st August 2010. Held in the UK for the first time in 13 years, the event will provide a rare opportunity to see some of the world’s most accomplished young riders in action.
