Following the performances of the Dutch riders at the 2010 CDI Falsterbo, Dutch chef d'equipe and team trainer Sjef Janssen made two changes to the team which will compete in the nations' cup at Aachen next week.
Christa Laarakkers and Imke Schellekens-Bartels will now be completing the Dutch CDIO team together with Edward Gal and Adelinde Cornelissen.
Initially the Dutch team for the big CDIO Tour consisted of Edward Gal (Totilas), Adelinde Cornelissen (Parzival), Marlies van Baalen (Ojay) and Anky van Grunsven (Painted Black). The latter two riders were removed from the CDIO team and replaced by Schellekens and Laarakkers.
Van Grunsven was then moved to the CDI category but this afternoon she withdrew from participation. The Aachen organization told Eurodressage that the reason was fatigue. Painted Black, who recently recovered from injury, was a bit tired coming back from the World Dressage Masters in Falsterbo.
For the small tour the Dutch have lined up two horses: Imke Schellekens will be competing her giant Toots and Christa Laarakkers is saddling the dark bay Don Fuego.
