The chestnut colt Figo V (by Fidertanz x De Vito) became the price highlight of the 2011 Hanoverian Elite Foal Auction in Verden on 20 - 21 August 2011. The last foal in the auction is bred by Gerd Pigge and sold for 71,000 euro to a Swiss/French syndicate.
The most expensive show jumping foal was Bakony (by Balou de Rouet x Calido Z) which sold for 23,500 euro.
The interest in Totilas foals was big. The filly Totally in Love (by Totilas x Caprimond) sold for 37,000 euro, while the colt Totally More (by Totilas x Dream of Glory) sold for 33,000 euro to Italy.
Other top selling dressage foals were the filly Delaware (by De Niro x Stedinger) which stays in Germany for 36,000 euro. The colt Dior (by Diamond Hit x Londonderry) sold for 30,000 euro to Bavaria. Damaris (by Decamerone x Sir Donnerhall) achieved a knock down price of 28,000 euro. The filly Allerfeinste (by Ampere x Lauries Crusador xx) moves to Sweden for 26,000 euro and the same country is importing Fabulous (by Florencio I x Sandro Hit) for 25,000 euro.
The colt Firework (by Floriscount x Lauries Crusador xx) which sold to Switzerland for 24,000 euro, while Bedford (by Bentley x Stedinger) moves to Bavaria for 24,000 euro. The colt Sansiba (by Sir Donnerhall x Don Primero) sold to Sweden for 22,000 euro.
The 2011 edition of the Hanoverian elite foal auction was huge: 291 foals were sold for an average price of 6,900 euro. 114 foals sold abroad and Russia and Italy were the top importers.
