The bay colt A La Dressage (by Ampere x Sandro Hit x Donnerhall) broke all records and became the best selling foal ever at a German Elite Foal Auction. A Swiss buyer paid 200,000 euro for the colt at the 2011 Oldenburg Elite Foal Auction in Vechta, Germany, and broke the previous record of Sabeltanz, which sold for 127,000 euro.
A La Dressage is bred by Klaus Tuchen from Grabow, Germany, and bidders from Dubai, Germany and Switzerland fought it out in a financial arm-wrestling battle. Swiss dressage rider and horse dealer Daniel Ramseier was the agent who handled the bidding for the Swiss client. (auction video here)
The second best selling foal was Tout Le Monde, a black colt by Totilas x Rohdiamant, which sold for 90,000 euro to clients from the Hanover area. The stallion is bred by Maike Hinrichsen and will be raised as a stallion prospect.
The third most expensive foal was the dark bay colt Rock of Ages (by Rock Forever x Sevillano xx) which sold for 33,000 to German clients. The Belgian bred Oldenburg Dante Ferro (by Dante Weltino x Ferro x Rohdiamant) sold for 29,000 euro, while the dark bay filly Feldgedicht (by Quaterback x Stedinger x Quantes) moves to Bavaria for 25,000 euro
Danes bought the black stallion Dark Hors (by Don Schufro x Lingh x De Niro) for 22,000 euro. A German client paid 20,000 euro for the black colt Damenball (by Dante Weltino x Donnerball x Landadel).
Eighty-eight foals were offered for sale and they sold at an average price of 12,324 euro.Twenty-eight foals sold abroad.
