Bosstime Gets Top Knock Down Price at 2012 Westfalian Elite Foal Auction

Bosstime became the top selling foal at the 2012 Westfalian Elite Foal Auction held in Munster-Handorf, Germany, on 11 and 12 August 2012. The dark bay colt sold for 30,000 euro. A total of 156 sport horse foals were auctioned in Handorf.

The Rhinelander branded Bosstime was bred by Werner and Heike Pleines from Udern and presented at auction by Gisela Pleines. Bosstime is by Boston x Louis Le Bon.

The second most expensive foal was the colt Don Bernardo (by Don Juan de Hus x Show Star) which sold for 25,000 euro. The colt Sorento's Krack (by Sorento x Krack C) achieved a knock down price of 22,000 euro. The chestnut colt Baron Leatherdale (by Boston x Lord Loxley) sold for 18,500 eur. This colt is also bred by Werner and Heike Pleines.

The most expensive filly was the chestnut Vero Moda (by Vitalis x Furst Piccolo, bred by Thomas and Dunja Stuhldreier. She sold for 15,000 euro. The dark bay filly Cornelia Calato (by Cornet Obolensky x Calato) sold for 14,500 euro.

The most expensive pony foal was the chestnut colt Vincent Boy (by Vincent x Principal Boy), which sold for 19,000 euro!

The average price for a foal was 5,606 euro.
