Sensation, Price Highlight of the 2012 Westfalian Autumn Elite Auction

The 3-year old bay mare Sensation became the top selling horse at the 2012 Westfalian Autumn Elite Auction held in Munster-Handorf on Sunday 7 October 2012. The San Remo x Ferragamo x Frühlingsrausch offspring sold for 141,000 euro.

The rumoured buyer of this mare is Under 25 Grand Prix rider Stella Charlott Roth, whose horse Diva Royal was member of the German Olympic team with Dorothee Schneider.

The second most expensive horse at this auction was the 3-year old Westfalian gelding Beletti (by Beltoni x Parademarsch I) which sold for 121,000 euro to Fabienne and Gina Lutkemeier.

The third most expensive horse was Finn, a 3-year old bay gelding by Fleury x Parademarsch I x Abary xx, which sold for 100,000 euro to Kathrin Meyer zu Strohen's sponsor Mr. Ruddat.

Two horses sold for 50,000 euro: the 3-year old mare Saona (by Schumacher x Florestan x Frühlingsrausch) and  the 3-year old mare For Your Best (by Fidertanz x Louis le Bon x Lasino).

The top selling pony was the 5-year old palomino stallion Don Joan (by Dior de Luxe x Top Nonstop). He achieved a knock down price of 45,000 euro.

Seven foals were sold at this auction with the best seller being the jumper filly Non Stop Ultra (by Non Stop x Pilot). It sold for 6,500 euro, which put the average price of a foal at this auction at 4,714 euro.

The 34 sold horses at this auction achieved an average price of 29,279 euro. Four ponies in total were sold for an average price of 18,000 euro.
