The Hanoverian auction year 2013 concluded in Alsfeld, Germany, on 29 - 30 November 2013 with 42 futurity prospects being offered for sale. Quisi (by Quaterback x Warkant) became top priced horse.
The 4-year-old dressage youngster sold for 27,500 euro to South Korea. Quisi is bred by Dr. Vanessa Convertini-Olbrichand was owned by Jordan GbR. The state premium mare completed her mare performance test with highest scores, she earned a number of placements in riding and dressage horse ability competitions and was very popular with the horse enthusiasts in Alsfeld. Now her training will be continued in Korea.
Diamond Dream (by Don Frederico x Stedinger) sold to Bavarian clients for 23,500 euro.
The former Blue Hors licensed stallion Fletcher (by Furst Grandios) was initially offered for sale at this auction, but the newly castrated dressage horse was pulled from the collection.
The most expensive jumper was the 4-year old Frankfurt (by For Edition x Chasseur, which sold for 26,000 euro to the US. American customers acquired more horses in Alsfeld: Solo (by Soliman de Hus x Rotspon) became top-priced hunting horse, selling for 18,500 euro.
The riding horses were sold at an average price of 11,671 euro. 14 futurity prospects found a new home abroad, with the US topping the statistics with 8 purchases.
"I appreciate that the auction in Alsfeld caters to international markets which obviously confirms our level of quality," Auction Manager Jörg-Wilhelm Wegener explained. And Breeding and Business Manager Dr. Werner Schade added: "We have once again seen that the Verden auction concept also successfully works at other venues and that it can be implemented to our customers' entire satisfaction. With this in mind, we have every reason to enter the 2014 auction year with bright expectations."
