First Class, Top Seller of 2014 Hanoverian Winter Auction

The 6-year old dark bay mare First Class became the top selling horse at the 2014 Hanoverian Winter Auction in Verden, Germany, on 25 January 2014. Dutch clients acquired the mare (by Florencio x Regazzoni) for 46,500 euro.

The auction year at the Hanoverian equestrian centre started off with the 2014 Winter auction and 100 horses were offered for sale.

The second most expensive horse was the Rhinelander bred Gitano. The 5-year old gelding by Gribaldi x Fidermark sold for 42,000 euro to a dressage rider from Hamburg.

Only five horses out of a collection of 100 sold for more than 25,000 euro. The third best knock down price was 28,000 euro paid for Flavius F (by Florencio x Rascalino). The jumper mare Sveta (by Stakkato x Chasseur) sold for 28,000 euro to Hessia.

The average price for a young sport horse at this auction was 12,620 euro. Thirty of 100 horses sold abroad. Canada and The Netherlands bought five each.
