San Leander P Top Seller at the 2014 Hanoverian Summer Auction

The 5-year-old San Leander P became the top selling horse at the 2014 Hanoverian Summer Auction in Verden, Germany, on 19 - 20 July 2014. Dutch clients paid 70,000 euro  for the San Amour x Lanciano offspring as a young prospect for his daughter.

“It was a deliberate decision of San Leander's breeder to present the horse at the Summer Auction, knowing well that he would belong to the best ones of the collection. I am happy that we have been able to sell this exceptional horse here that well,” Auction Manager Joerg-Wilhelm Wegener summarized.

Catalogue number 27 was also sold at a top price: The gavel went down at 34,000 euro for Romeo von Nymphenburg (by Royal Classic x Wolkenstein II) for Argentinian customers.

Following an exciting bidding duel, Casarella Nobilé (by Calido x Rabino) was sold for 40,000 euro to a new customer from Great Britain.

27 youngster will stay in Germany, 40 were purchased by foreign customers. A customer from the Iran bought a staggering number of horses: The committed purchaser will take 17 Hanoverians home with the purpose to launch a new Hanoverian training centre. “The sun did not only shine for Verden today, this was also a brilliant and shiny auction. There was an incredible customer interest, and we obtained excellent prices for the high-quality horses of our exhibitors,” Jörg-Wilhelm Wegener concluded.

Customers invested  14,708.95 euro on average for a young riding horse at this auction.
