The impressive opener for the first auction session in Vechta 2015 will be the licensed stallion So What a Feeling (by Sandro Hit – Ex Libris –World Cup I). This dark bay stallion was Reserve Bundeschampion 2009 in Warendorf. Now the stallion is trained up to advanced (S) level dressage. Another super interesting dressage king is the gelding Let Kiss (by Licotus - Plaisir d’Amour - Figaro). He is a very likeable “teacher” who already has the entire repertoire of the Grand Prix at his comment. An absolutely beautiful dressage stallion with a great talent for upper class sport is Frontenac (by Fürst Romancier - Sandro Hit – Donnerhall). This four year old dark bay stallion comes from the famous Weissena-mare line, that also produced Weihegold OLD (by Don Schufro), who won the final of the Nürnberger Burger Burgpokal in 2013 and the Louisdor Prize in 2014.
The week of the auction in Vechta will be enhanced by the innovative Oldenburg Saddle Licensing. At this event, three and four-year old colts compete for approval to breed. Along with the usual tests required for licensing such as inspection on hard ground, running loose and free jumping, the colts must also be presented under saddle. At the conclusion of the event, a guest rider tests the licensing candidates for their traits as a riding horse. The Oldenburg Saddle Licensing will take place on 9 - 10 April, also in the Oldenburg Horse Center. These 15 colts are included in the lot of auction horses to be sold at the Elite Auction on 11 April 2015.
You can watch show jumping sport live on April 8th starting at 1:00 p.m. Former auction horses will be competing against each other in exciting championships up to advanced (S) level.
During the entire week of the auction, visitors are welcome to come to the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta. Admission tickets for a seat at the Elite Auction on Saturday, April 11th, will be sold starting at 10.00 Euros On all other days, admission is free.
