Mind blowing prices were paid for the fillies and colts presented up for auction at the 2015 Oldenburg Elite Foal Auction in Vechta on 29 August 2015. The colt Double Hit (by Diamond Hit x Sandro Hit) sold for 110,000 euro.
Double Hit is bred by Georg Tönjes and sold to Austria for this staggering auction price.
More than 19 foals were sold for more than 20,000 euro.
The second most expensive foal was the colt Great Bishop (by Grey Flannell x De Niro x Plaisir d'Amour), bred by Georg Bischoff. He sold for 65,000 euro to Lone Boegh Henriksen from Denmark.
Colt Grandelion (by Grey Flannell x De Niro x Figaro), bred by Helmut Kleen, sold for 60,000 euro to American Jamie White-Welling, who is training with Markus Gribbe in Vechta, Germany.
Most expensive jumper foal was the colt Quid Primaire (by Quidam de Revel x Stakkato) which sold for 34,000 to a Westfalian client.
Soul of America, a liver chestnut colt by Sezuan x Sandro Hit x Feiner Stern, sold for 52,000 euro to clients from Lower Saxony. The dark bay filly Staffenpost (by Santo Domingo x Don Rubin) was sold for 48,000 euro to Baden Wurttemberger clients.
Turkish clients paid 45,000 euro for the chestnut colt Frontman (by Farrell x For Compliment). The liver chestnut colt Franzissimo (by Franziskus x Belissimo M) sold to Baden Wurttemberg for 33, 000 euro.
A large group of foals sold abroad with 26 foals out of 80 sold moving to a foreign country. Belgian buyers bought five. The average price for a foal at this auction was 16,000 euro.
