After its successful publication in German, Mitja Demitrij Cernac's unique book "Piaffe, Passage and Work in Hand" is now available in English for the dedicated dressage lover who wants to explore all the details on training piaffe and passage and work in hand.
Cernac's book "Piaffe, Passage and Work in Hand" is highly relevant today.
"The new FEI rules regarding piaffe and passage lay greater weight on these movements as well as transitions between the two, so it is of utmost importance to perform them well," Cernac explained. "This is a book which is drawn on over forty years of experience and is solely dedicated to explaining the difficult Grand Prix dressage movements of piaffe, passage and work in hand."
Cernac's one-hundred page book explains comprehensively the several possible approaches to piaffe and passage. He guides the reader on what is correct and how to begin so the horse will be capable to understand and correctly perform the movements.
"The book is written purely from over 40 years of personal experience in training horses and riders up to international Grand Prix level," Cernac added.
Cernac trained at the Lipizza State Stud in Slovenia and conducted clinics in the U.S.A. Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, and numerousother European countries. He is specialized in piaffe and passage as well correcting horses which have developed problematic behaviour under saddle.
"This book was published in 2002 in Germany and because of the feedback from my fellow trainers, international and national dressage riders, I decided to publish this book in English and therefore make it available to a larger dressage audience. I added more text as well as more pictures and graphics for a better understanding," he stated.
