Last weekend, the 19-year-old P.S.I.-gelding Weltclassiker finished his successful sports career with a victory in Ankum. The bay gelding by Welt Hit II x Classiker scored 77.91% for his amazing and successful Grand Prix-freestyle under his steady rider Bianca Kasselman.

Weltclassiker and Kasselmann were well-known at show grounds such as Hamburg, Hanover, Perl-Borg, Fritzens in Austria, but also in Compiegne in Northern France or Sao Paulo in Brazil, earning more than 45 victories and approx. 70 other high placements in Grand Prix-tests, the premiere league of dressage. Bianca Kasselmann was particularly successful in international Grand Prix-tests in the Almased Dressage Stadium at Horses & Dreams in Hagen a.T.W.

In 2012, Kasselmann and Weltclassiker celebrated a special success in Hagen when they won the German Championships of Professional Riders, a combination of Grand Prix, Special and Final including "change of horse" and to top it off, Weltclassiker confirmed his quality and came out best horse of the test as he shined in the Final with all three riders.

Weltclassiker started his career in the P.S.I. Sports and Auction Centre in Ankum in Lower Saxony where he now, 15 years later, also took his leave. The Oldenburg horse was sold at the P.S.I. Auction in 2000 and trained by Insa Hansen to compete at the Grand Prix-level. Following his sale and ridden by the US-rider Alisa Wilson, Weltclassiker earned a number of fantastic successes in the US. When the Oldenburg gelding returned to Hagen, he fortunately found his way to Bianca Kasselmann.

This closes the circle: “Thanks to breeder Paul Schockemohle, the fantastic care of groom Elsbieta Niebieszcanska and happy circumstances, this P.S.I. success story was possible."

The 36th P.S.I. Auction on December 5 and 6, 2015, will provide another opportunity to acquire more than 50 dressage and show jumping horses of outstanding quality for future tasks at the international equestrian level.
