The full collection of horses that will go under hammer in the EDS Auction supported by KWPN, has been finalized. On Saturday 30 July 2016 during the 2016 World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses, the very first in Ermelo, an impressive selection of dressage horses and foals will be auctioned. The collection varies from seasoned top horses to quality foals displaying all the talent needed for a shining career. In short: a unique opportunity to acquire an outstanding dressage talent.
Internationally Established Horses
The committee speaks of an impressive group of horses that all received high quality schooling.
“There was an enormous supply from both within and across our borders. We were able to select a number of horses that have proven themselves internationally as well. Partly thanks to a strict veterinary examination, we now have a great collection of horses.”
Earlier it was announced that the KWPN-approved stallion Four Legends (Wynton x Ferro) is one of the selected horses. The rider pursuing a Grand Prix-career in the short time can visit the auction for Zaira (by Don Romantic) and UB40-son Allstar. The latter is a handsome chestnut out of the family-lines of Grand Prix horses Watteau (by Jazz) and Ravel (by Contango) and he shows lots of talent for the Big Tour. The successful Small Tour-horse Maxifun (by Munchhausen) lead the rankings during the championships in the ZZ-licht (third level) and later set scores over 70% in the Prix St. Georges. Besides multiple international sport horses, there are promising young horses. One of them is the three-year-old Dream Boy-son Ids a Bria. This expressive stallion stems from the Bria-line that also produced Grand Prix-stallions Voice (by De Niro) and OO Seven (by Rubinstein).
Top Pedigrees
The foals each stem from established bloodlines; with offspring of, amongst others, Apache, Bordeaux, Don Tango, Charmeur, High Five U.S. and De Niro. Both the prestigious Foal Auction Borculo and the Belgian FDE International Auction have brought in a foal for the auction.
The full brother of dressage legend Valegro may be a crowd puller, but this Lelegro (by Negro) is certainly not the only high quality foal. LaReyna de Jeu’s pedigree includes many horses that were active at the highest level. Sire Governor carries the blood of the famous Totilas and his dam is the full sister of the international Grand Prix-horse Parzival. Besides Grand Prix-stallion Jazz, we find the Grand Prix-stallion Gribaldi twice in the lineage of LaReyna de Jeu. The KWPN-stallion Governor also produced a dark brown colt named Lucius, out of the full sister of the KWPN-approved United.
Impressive Assortment
With the completion of the collection, the auction will feature an impressive range of dressage horses suitable for both the professional and amateur rider. Both breeders and riders can enjoy the auction organized at the National Equestrian Centre in Ermelo on 30 July 2016.
