In corona times we are all ordered to stay at home, self quarantine, and do social distancing. With more time on your hands to spend online, Eurodressage launches a "Hit & Run" interview series so that you get to know the world's most famous dressage riders and personalities more closely. 

Swedish Grand Prix rider Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven is a seven-time Olympian having represented Sweden at the Games in 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016! She is the most successful Swedish dressage rider with another five World Equestrian Games, ten European Championships and seven World Cup finals down her belt. Since 2000 she works for Antonia Ax:son Johnson as head rider at Lovsta Stuteri.

What is your earliest memory? 

Our family dog: Heja,she was my best friend and she protected me from my older sister and brothers. 

Which person alive do you admire the most and why?

Right now: All the people working so hard in the hospitals, risking their lifes to save others..

When were you the happiest?

Many happy moments, can’t choose one.

What is your biggest fear?

To lose somebody I love.

What was your first thought today?

The sun shines.

What is your most annoying character trait?

Time optimist…..

Which trait do you dislike the most in other people?

Dishonesty

What is your dearest possession?

If not counting animals it has to be our garden.

If you look into the future, what do you see?

The world is up side down right now, I sincerely hope we can come out of this in the best possible way. I hope life can go back to a new normal.

What makes you unhappy?

Cruelty in any way.

What is the love of your life?

My family, my husband and son.

What was the best choice you ever took in life?

The day I said "yes" to Antonia Ax:son Johnson to come and work with her at Lövsta Stuteri. I’m living my dream every day.

What's your guilty pleasure?

Chocolate no doubt.

What do you owe your parents?

Ohh, everything and I wish I told them that…..

Who can sit next to you at your dream dinner table?

My parents

What was the worst job you ever did?

I think every job is an important lesson.

What was your biggest disappointment in life?

I didn’t get to say goodbye to my father who passed away unexpectedly when I was 16.

What would you change if you can go back into the past?

Nothing

Name one thing that would improve your quality of life?

Chocolate.

What is your biggest achievement?

My son, Lucas

What is the most important life lesson you have learnt?

To listen to wise people close to me.

Where would you like to be right now? 

Exactly were I am, I’m living my dream every day.

What's your favourite scent?

Lemon

Which character would you dress up in for Halloween?

I’m happy if I don’t need to dress up

To whom would you like to say sorry?

To my mother. I wish I told her how much I appreciate that she was always there for me no matter what.

What does love feel like for you?

Trust and humour

When are you most relaxed?

At our summerhouse in the archipelago of Stockholm.

What super power would you like to have?

To speak the language of the animals.

When did you last cry, and why?

Seeing a movie about a faithful dog, who waited at a train station for his master until he died.

When were you closest to death?

Don’t think I’ve been close yet.

How do you want to be remembered?

As a good and honest friend
