In corona times we are all ordered to stay at home, self quarantine, and do social distancing. With more time on your hands to spend online, Eurodressage launches a "Hit & Run" interview series so that you get to know the world's most famous dressage riders and personalities more closely.

Danish born Grand Prix rider Lone Jørgensen began her professional career in 1982 when she moved from Denmark to Germany to work at her husband Ulli Eggers' yard. Her first international successes were achieved on Wempe Jewel (sold to Van der Vorm for Leida Strijk, also competed by Christoph Koschel) and then FBW Kennedy with whom she competed at the 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003 European Championships and 2000 Sydney Olympics. She sold the horse to Jane Clark for Robert Dover to ride. Her next Grand Prix horse was FBW Ludewig on which she rode the  2004 Olympics Games, 2005 World Cup Finals, 2005 European Championships and 2006 World Equestrian Games (sold to Brazil afterwards), followed by the top mare Donna Asana, which sold to Evelyn Haim-Swarovski. With FBW De Vito she rode the 2012 World Cup Finals (Sold to Stable Pinnenberg for Martin Christensen to ride). In 2012 Lone and Ulli decided to emigrate to Australia, where they have been running a training facility. Lone has now declared for Australia and made her come back to the CDI ring in 2019 and became Australian Grand Prix Champion.
