On 25 July the 16th Trakehner foal auction takes place in the course of the Trakehner Young Horse Championships at Münster-Handorf. With its spirit of innovation the Trakehner are one of the first breeding associations to offer their youngest elites in a ‚hybrid‘ format.
Hybrid Auction
The auction will run simultaneously and live in three ways, on location with auctioneer Thomas Münch, over the phone as it has been tried and tested and via an online system new this year that allows bidding from all over the world. This extended services offer all options to interested buyers.
Following a registration they are welcome to come to Münster-Handorf and follow the foals’ presentation live and close by on Saturday afternoon. Or they use the chance to look at the collection on the screen and choose their personal favourite to bid on.
Bidding for the selected top foals starts in Handorf at 19:30, either live or via phone or online, regardless from the bidder’s location.
Pre-registration for online bidders is the only prerequisite.
Foals Fullfil Highest Expectations
Within the previous 15 years their predecessors have fulfilled the highest expectations at the auctions within the national show, too. Winning and premium stallions were bought there, winners at registrations and the current national winning mare as well and athletes up to advanced level – on the evening of 25 July dreaming is invited.
Collection is Online
The collection is online at www.trakehner-verband.de and the listed sires offer superlatives.
Millennium and Schwarzgold are two Trakehner winning stallions to send their offspring to the auction, performance test winner High Motion and the sire Berlusconi can show premiered sons already.
Spectators Welcome
Spectators and guests are welcome at the auction and at the young horse championship. Due to the corona situation, however, a pre-registration is needed at the Trakehner Verband’s office.
