The colt Vestermarkens Kenzo (by Blue Hors Kingston x Tailormade Temptation) became the price highlight of the 2020 Danish Warmblood Streaming Auction on 16 August 2020.
The auction took place in the air-conditioned indoor arena of Blue Hors stud in Randboel, Denmark. The bidding happened online and the presentation of the foals was streamed live.
Vestermarkens Kenzo, bred by Kirsten Buus, sold for 35,000 euro to Blue Hors stud after a bidding duel with a German client.
Danish horse dealer Klaus Munkedal acquired the colt Gørklintgård's Rolex (by Rock Forever I x Sandro Hit) for 29,000 euro.
Colt Gørklintgård's Riverdance (by Rock for Me x Don Schufro) fetched 15,000 euro to a bidder who was in the house. This price was also paid for colt Boggilds Francatelli (by Fifty Cent x Ladas).
A Canadian buyer secured the filly Golden Magnolia Pilekaer (by Damon Hill x Goldfinger) for 11,000 euro. The same price was paid for colt Fredendals Impressive (by Imposantos x De Noir). This chestnut colt was bought by someone live at the auction.
Colt Logo's Dacapo (by Hesselhoj Donkey Boy x Furstenball) moves to Sweden for 12,500 euro. SS Kings Quality (by Blue Hors Kingston x Quaterback) sold for 11,000 euro.
Colt Zeppelin Blue Ley (by Zackerey x Sir Donnerhall II) sold for 10,500 euro.
The collection of foals included 19 dressage and show jumping bred foals. 79% of them were sold to new owners. The average price was little above 13,000 euro per foal.
"It was a really good auction today, in which we sold many of the breeders' foals," said Danish warmblood director Casper Cassøe. "I think we again got proof that the smaller auctions are justified."
