Finnish Grand Prix Rider Mikaela Fabricius-Bjerre has welcomed the 5-year old Hesselhoj Darwin to her stable Solyst in Denmark.

Darwin is by Hesselhoj Donkey Boy x Solos Landtinus. He is bred by Lisbeth Bredmose Andersen.

He's a half brother to three licensed stallions: Touche (by Tuschinski) and Olympus and Orion (both by Don Olymbrio).

Owned by Dorthe and Hans Jørgen Hoeck of stable Hesselhoj, Darwin was pre-selected for the 2019 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning, but was not licensed. He stayed in training at Hesselhoj and was ridden by junior rider and already (semi)-professional rider Anders Sjobeck Hoeck.

"I bought him a week ago, he is going to be a future horse for me," Mikaela told Eurodressage. "He is ultra sensitive, lovely and talented. I used to ride Milan and there’s a lot of similarities in him. I am already very much in love with this horse."

Darwin was also joined by Søbakkehus Dourados (by Hesselhøj Donkey Boy x Depardieu x Lauries Crusador xx) as a new entry into Mikaela's barn.
