The chestnut colt Status Quo II (by Secret x Sandro Hit) became the top seller of the third Hanoverian Spring foal auction of which the bidding concluded on 25 May 2022.
The expressive colt was purchased by Canadian Grand Prix rider Vicki Lavoie for 40,500 euro.
Foals bred by Willi Sauerland from Rhade, who sadly passed away much too early last year, are no strangers to the Verden auction stage. Already in 2019, full brother Status Quo I was auctioned for 25,000 euro.
The second most expensive horse in the auction was show jumping Big Future (by Big Star x Contendro). He sold for 15,500 euro to Argentina.
The bay colt Rio, from the first crop of foals of Rom, and out of a Stedinger dam, sold for 14,000 euro to a German client. Spring Fever (by Shu Fu x Furstenball) fetched 11,000 euro.
Rio by Rom/Stedinger (breeder and exhibitor: Holger Wilms GbR, Hinte) convinced a renowned dressage trainer from Hessen and will start his journey into sponsoring hands for 14,000 Euros.
In total, the 29 talented youngsters achieved an average price of 9,259 Euros. 12 foals were secured by international customers from Canada, America, Spain, Finland, Argentina, Croatia, Denmark, France and Austria, while 17 Hanoverian youngsters will remain in Germany.
French clients bought Furstenball's Rose (by Furstenball x Franziskus) for 10,000 euro and Fleur Noir (by Furst Belissaro x Locksley II) for 9,250 euro. An American secured jumper Explosion (by Etoulon) for 10,000 euro. and Vanadis (by Vivaldis x Buckingham) for 7,500 euro. Bella Deluxe (by Bon Courage x Belissimo M) goes to Denmark for 8,000 euro. Finnish dressage fans got Real Love (by Raven x Don Frederico) for 6,500 euro, while Sauvignon (by Segantini x Don Crusador) will relocate to Spain for 4,000 euro.
The next opportunity to purchase an excellent Hanoverian foal directly from the source in Verden will be on June 9. The last online auction of the Verden Foal Spring will take place on June 23.
