The 5-year old Buskhagas Ramayana, the 6-year old Diploid and the 7-year old Liberace for U were the winning horses in the first of three observation trials for Swedish team selection for the 2022 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo in September.

Swedish WCYH Selection Process

The Swedish selection process for the 2022 WCYH began with two observation days, first in Mantorp on 26 April followed by Åhus / Willands on 3 May, where the selectors made an "inventory" of team candidates, who had to present their youngster in the FEI young horse test according to the horse's age.

The next phase are three observation competitions, which are held in Stromsholm (1 June), Laholm (16 June) and Falsterbo (11-17 July). It is mandatory to start in at least one of these three shows for team consideration.

The Swedish selectors are Bo Jenå (Swedish Equestrian Federation) and Jan-Ove Olsson (Swedish warmblood).

The actual team and reserves will be announced in Week 32. Two weeks later there will a training clinic and test riding practice with Christoph Hess.
