On the eve of the 2022 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in Hartpury the entry field continues to be reshuffled. Hungarian junior rider Mira Dicso has been forced to withdraw last minute.

Dicso and her 10-year old Hanoverian bred Foxtrot (by Foundation x Furst Heinrich) will not be competing in their second Europeans. The horse is not fit to compete.

"We prepared for this year's European Championship with high hopes, where we wanted to repeat last year's performance reaching the finals," Dicso told Eurodressage.  "Unfortunately, last week, Foxi suffered a minor injury, which caused a setback in the preparation for the competitions. Every rider's dream is to participate at the European Championship, but this cannot be more important than the horse's impeccable health, which is why we decided to withdraw."

The 17-year old Dicso rode her first European Junior Rider Championships in 2021 in Oliva Nova, where they reached the Kur to Music finals and finished 11th. The pair is currently ranked fifth on the FEI World Junior Rider Ranking.

Hungary has no reserve combination lined up to fill up Dicso's spot.
