The 20-year old Danish young rider Kristian Würtz Green has received the ride on the internationally competed Grand Prix horse Blue Hors Zepter. The pair made its national show debut in Solrød (DEN) on 8 October 2022.
Kristian became a member of the Blue Hors riders' team on 1 September 2022 and was immediately allocated Zepter. The new pair was already revealed on social media a few weeks ago, but their partnership became public with their show debut.
Seventy + Show Debut
In Solrød they also revealed their Grand Prix aspirations as they competed in the Intermediaire II and finished second, behind work mate Nanna Skodborg Merrald on Blue Hors Zirrus (by Blue Hors Zack) who posted a winning 77.281%.
For Kristian it was his first time riding a Grand Prix level test.
"We are still getting to know each other," Kristian told Eurodressage about his budding partnership with the experienced gelding. "Zepter felt super nice both in the ring and in the warm-up. I was super satisfied with the test, also because it’s my debut in an Inter II."
When asked if he will be competing the horse in the Under 25 division or senior tour in the future, Kristian replies, "we take one day at a time, so we will see."
Team Blue Hors
Blue Hors Zepter is a 14-year old gelding by Zack x Wolkentanz II. He was trained to Grand Prix level by Daniel Bachmann Andersen. In 2020 they were Danish Olympic team candidates but Bachmann left Blue Hors and Zepter was sent to Andreas Helgstrand to be sold. A sale never happened and Zepter returned to Blue Hors, where Spaniard Cristian Tudela Ruiz got the ride. In December 2021 Zepter was sent to Patrik Kittel to be sold. At the 2022 World Cup Finals they finished 8th. The chestnut did not sell and returned to Blue Hors in July 2022.
