Victoria Vallentin's Under 25 team horse Brooklyn has been sold to the U.S.A.
Brooklyn is a 15-year old Westfalian gelding by Hogwart out of Bella (by Baldini II x Pluspunkt). He is bred by Ingrid, Franz-Josef and Dieter Lenneper.
Alexander Lebedev
Brooklyn was owned by Russian dressage rider Alexander Lebedev, who was a youth rider in the 2010s.
Lebedev first competed at junior level with Hovard (by Xalid x Anton) through 2014. In the spring of 2014 he briefly got the ride on Yulia Gorbacheva's Urbi et Orbi (by Indoctro x Ahorn) as a junior rider in 2014.
In 2017 Alexander returned to the arena in the U.K. riding Brooklyn at young riders' level at the CDI Hickstead.
Victoria Vallentin
In 2019 Lebedev contacted Danish Victoria Vallentin and asked if she wanted to ride Brooklyn. The horse was sent to Denmark.
"I didn't know Alexander before he contacted me but I’m very happy for that because we had many good years with a nice cooperation," Victoria told Eurodressage.
The new pair made its international show debut at Under 25 level at the CDI Gothenburg in February 2020 and rode the horse to team bronze and a fifth place in the kur at the 2020 European Under 25 Championships. They concluded the year with silver at the 2020 Danish Under 25 Championships
Sold to the U.S.A
Brooklyn's final competition in Denmark was a Grand Prix Special test in March 2022 at a national show in Mårslet.
The gelding then sold to the U.S.A. but Brooklyn stayed in training with Vallentin the entire year. She did not compete him in that time frame.
On 10 February 2023, Vallentin announced the sale of the horse and its departure to Wellington, Florida. "The owner wants to stay anonymous," Victoria added
