The Hanoverian breeding society is hosting an online foal auction every two weeks. Here is an overview of the best selling foals in their two auctions held in May.
11 May 2023: Double Dream
The second online foal auction of the season concluded on 11 May and twenty-one foals sold for an average price of 7,060 euro.
Three foals achieved a sales price over 10,000 euro. The best seller was Double Dream (by Dynamic Dream x Benetton Dream) who sold for 11,000 euro to a well known German stallion owner. This colt is bred by Jacqueline Tenambergen.
Colt Franco's Poldi (by Franco Nero x Lord Leopold), bred by Stefan Hermann, and filly Sweet Dream (by St. Atheltique x Don Nobless), bred by Ulrich Heitmann) both sold for 10,000 euro.
Vlintstone (by Von und Zu x Silberschmeid) sold for 7,250 euro to the U.K, while Von Hansi (by Venido x Ferro) moves to Belgium for 6,500 euro. A Polish buyer got Roman Paloma (by Rockdale x Bon Coeur) for 6,500 euro. An Austrian got Oxana (by Omar Sharif x Totilas) for 5,500 euro.
26 May 2023: Follow Me
At the third online auction the colt Follow Me (by Fynch Hatton x Sezuan) achieved the top price. Eight bidders placed 27 bids for Follow Me, who is bred by Willem Klausing. The last bid came from a new customer from Rhineland. The bay colt, whose dam is the full sister of Bundeschampion So Unique, sold for 19,000 Euros.
The jumper foal Cornet's All Star (by Cornet Obolensky x Spartacus) sold to Hungary for 13,500 euro.
Victoria G (by Vivaldon x Quaterhall) fetched 12,000 euro, while Jalia (by Jasper x Contendro) sold for 11,500 euro. Esperanza (by Escaneno x De Niro) went for 11,000 euro, while Sandmann (by Santos x Bonard de Charry) sold for 9,250 euro.
An American bought Friendship (by Fynch Hatton x Sir Donnerhall) for 8,250 euro, while Valentino HP (by Vision x Ehrentusch) moves to Holland for 5,750 euro
The average prize for a foal in this auction was 7,440 euro. The collection included 29 foals.
