Sympathico and Design of Hearts, Top Sellers of the 2023 Hanoverian Spring Foal Auctions

Sympathico and Design of Hearts became the top selling foals at the final two 2023 Hanoverian spring online foal auctions which continued bi-weekly through June and July. 

The price statistics of these two auctions cannot be viewed online as the auction website has closed off all old catalogues.

22 June: Sympathico

Sympathico (by Segantini x Don Martillo) was the best seller at the Hanoverian Online Foal auction on 22 June 2023 as part of a collection of 35 foals offered at auction. Bred by Frank Grobe, Sympathico sold for 26,000 euro to Hamburg. 

Bonds Black (by Bonds x Fürst Romancier), bred by Hubertus Poll, sold for 22,000 euro. 

6 July: Design of Hearts

A collection of 26 foals was offered for sale in the last auction of the bi-weekly series of Hanoverian online spring foal auctions. The best seller was Design of Hearts (by Damsey x Quaterback) which sold for 16,500 euro. She is bred by Vilhard.

Voilià c'est moi K  (by Vitalis x De Niro) was auctioned for 11,000 euro and will move to France. This foal is bred by Dieter Kreyenhagen.

The average price for a foal in this auction was 6,500 euro.

Comapred to last year the average price for a foal at these Hanoverian spring auction got reduced from 9,085 euro to 7,681 euro. The reduced sales quota also reflects the current foal market.
