Veniro II and Sweet Surprise LH became the price highlights of the foal auctions held by the DSP breed society in July.
14 July: Veniro II
At the hybrid auction "DSP Crown Jewels" held during the Schafhof international dressage festival on Friday 14 July, a collection of 16 foals was offered for sale and 14 were presented at auction.
The colt Veniro II (by Va bene x De Niro) became the price highlight. Bred by Gabriele Eder, the bay sold for 56,000 euro to the U.S.A.
The second most expensive foal was Furst Pablo (by Feliciano x Diamond Hit), bred by Ralf Pawlowski. He sold for 20,500 euro and will stay in Germany.
Vantastica (by Va Bene x Franziskus) fetched 13,500 euro, while two foals sold for 12,000 euro: Kingsley (by Kjento x Dancier) to Switzerland and Powerful (by Painted Black x Belissimo M) to Austria. The latter will be joined by Furioso (by Furore Fantastico x Dimaggio) for 6,500 euro.
The average price for a foal at this auction was 13,416 euro.
4 July: Sweet Surprise LH
A collection of 21 foals was offered for sale online with the final bidup on 4 July. Eighteen foals sold and Sweet Surprise LH (by St. Emilion x De Niro) became the price highlight. Bred by ZG Lepple and born without the dam showing eminent signs of a delivery, this filly fetched 25,000 euro and will move to Sweden.
The colt Forlando (by For Romance x Zalando), bred by Josef Rief, sold for 10,000 euro.
Swedes also purchased Feline (by Fair Deal x De Niro) for 6,000 euro, and Vialdo (by Vitalis x Quando Quando) for 9,750 euro. A Dutchman bought Festtag (by Fair Game x Kaiserstolz) for 5,000 euro.
Gestut Greim sold Zensation (by Zackerey x For Compliment) for 9,000 euro.
The average price for a foal at this auction was 6,944 euro.
