The 3-year old Elisabeth was named champion of the 2023 DSP (German Sport Horse) Elite Mare Show which took place at Hofgut Kranichstein in Darmstadt on 16 September 2023.
Judges Gerd Sosath and Dr. Eberhard Senckenberg (director of the Bavarian state stud Schwaiganger) travelled to Darmstadt to assess the mares.
The dressage title went to Elizabeth, a chestnut Escamillo filly out of Queenie (by Quaterback), bred and owned by Julia Voigtländer from Berlin. The chestnut mare received a 9.0 for type, conformation, gaits and overall impression, and a 10 for quality of movements, brought her overall score to a winning 9.2 points. This is the second consecutive year that Voigtlander has bred the DSP mare champion. In 2022 the honour went to Quty. Elisabeth was already mare champion of the Brandenburg elite mare show and has now added the overall DSP Mare title to her list of achievements.
The reserve title went to Damon's Girl (by Damon Hill x Licotus). She scored 10 for quality of movement and 9 for conformation and genera impression. The type and walk got 8.5 and 9. She is bred by Celine Binder.
Miss Germany M (by Morricone) was third with a final score of 8.7. Bred by Reinhold Marschall she got 9 for type and overall impression as well as 8.5 for conformation, quality of movement and walk. Her overall total was 8.7.
