Harrods, Frederic Wandres' internationally competed small tour horse and Louisdor Cup finalist, has sold to the U.S.A. The 11-year old will continue his sport career under Lisa Blackmon.
Harrods is a Hanoverian gelding by Hochadel out of Rebecca (by Rotspon x Lauries Crusador xx x Wendekreis). He is bred by Nadine and Berhard Venhaus.
Hof Kasselmann
Initially owned by Hof Kasselmann, the chestnut was first competed by Nicole Wego in 2018. She finished 10th at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf in the 5-year old dressage horse finals.
In 2020 Frederic Wandres took over the ride and competed the horse at small tour level. Their international show debut was in Wellington at the 2021 Global Dressage Festival where he showed in two classes. He then went to the CDI Ludwigsburg.
In 2022 Wandres competed him nationally on the Louisdor Cup and qualified for the Finals in Frankfurt, where he finished seventh.
They returned to the CDI ring at small tour level for the FEI Nations Cup at the 2023 CDIO Wellington, winning the Prix St Georges and team ranking.
Sold to the U.S.A.
Harrods has now been sold to Black Star Sport Horses and will be relocating to North Texas.
Blackmon is thrilled to add the chestnut to her farm's string of horses. She will be riding him and overseeing his care.
"We love his expressiveness and his high degree of rideability," she told Eurodressage. "He has a lot of natural talent and Freddie has done an amazing job with his education."
