If you don't want to travel all over Germany in search of your four-legged dressage partner, you can find it in Switzerland: From 1 to 5 May, an interesting selection of top-class dressage horses for ambitious amateur and professional riders will be on offer near Zurich.
The collection includes dressage horses with first-class pedigrees born and raised in northern Germany and carefully selected by the renowned breeders and trainers Ingo Pape and Mathieu Beckmann before travelling to Switzerland.
"An impeccable character, talent, rideability, soundness and a fair price - these are the criteria we use to select the horses," says Theres Meier, who is assisting Ingo Pape and Mathieu Beckmann for the twelfth time in organising the North German Dressage Elite Sales Days. The event will take place in Turbenthal, about 30 minutes by car from Zurich Airport, in a beautiful, modern riding centre.
Two presentations with live commentary
The horses for sale can be viewed there from 1 to 5 May. They will be shown under saddle in two major presentations with live commentary by Ingo Pape on 1 May at 4 pm and on Friday, 3 May, in the late afternoon.
After the presentations and on all other days, the horses can be tried out under saddle by prior arrangement with Theres Meier. Around a dozen vet-checked dressage horses of various ages and training levels are available to choose from, to suit every budget.
The entire collection of horses will soon be available with photos and videos on the website www.vnde.ch.
