Organisers of London International Horse Show have today unveiled an exceptional line-up of international Dressage and Driving competitors for this year’s event, running from 18–22 December at Excel London.
The show will host FEI World Cup™ action across three disciplines, including CDI-W Dressage, which will take place on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 December. Spilt into two competitions, both the Grand Prix and the Freestyle to Music, which are presented by Bret Willson Dressage International Ltd and supported by Horse & Hound, will showcase some of the world’s best Dressage riders.
Britain's Best
Britain’s Charlotte Fry, fresh from her individual and team bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games leads the stellar field. Fry, the 2022 double individual FEI Dressage World Champion, returns to London with her renowned partner, Glamourdale, looking to reclaim the Grand Prix and Freestyle to Music titles she claimed in 2022. As an ambassador for London International Horse Show, Fry and Glamourdale are set to delight the crowds with their ever-harmonious performances
Becky Moody, Fry’s Olympic bronze medal teammate, also returns to Excel London, bringing her home-bred star Jagerbomb, with whom she scored a personal best freestyle mark of 84.357% in Paris. Moody, who debuted at London International in 2023, will look to build on her third place finishes in last year’s Grand Prix and Freestyle. Returning to London with another home-bred superstar is Lewis Carrier with Diego V, a combination that this year celebrated a podium finish in the CDI4* Freestyle at Royal Windsor Horse Show and winning the 2024 LeMieux National Dressage Championships.
Laura Tomlinson, an icon of British Dressage and a team gold and individual bronze medallist from the London 2012 Olympic Games will also compete, riding Seoegaards Bon Royal, whilst adding to the sensational home line-up is Richard White, aboard Heroi Do Seixo, who will travel to the Show following an impressive 2024 season.
Challenging Competition
The British riders will face challenging competition from an international contingent representing seven different nations. Dutch stars include Hans Peter Minderhoud, Marieke Van Der Putten, and Dinja Van Liere, the current World No.4, who will be partnered by Hartsuijker – after a recent strong performance in Lyon they will be looking to challenge for the top spots. Denmark's Nanna Skodborg Merrald, currently ranked World No.7, alongside riders from Spain, Hungary, Norway, and Ireland, including Abigail Lyle with Giraldo, round out the global line-up.
World Cup Excitement Across the Disciplines
The excitement continues with the FEI Driving World Cup™, presented by Karen and Hugh Scott-Barrett, on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 December. Returning champion and World No.1, Boyd Exell seeks to extend his domination following a near-flawless 2024 season and reclaim the title he has won numerous times. Joining him are Dutch drivers Ijsbrand Chardon and Koos De Ronde, as well as debutant Anna Mareike Meier of Germany, who amongst driving also competes in Show Jumping and Dressage from time-to-time.
Daniel Naprous, a home crowd favourite, will electrify the International Arena with his FEI Driving World Cup™ performance, competing alongside Belgium’s Dries Degrieck and Sweden’s Fredrik Persson who complete this year’s Driving entries.
