
Silberaster K and Vaskur EF became the best selling foals in the second Grand Prix Sales auction of 2025 for which the bidding concluded on 13 August.
A collection of 17 foals was on offer and once again Grand Prix Sales was able to generate big prices for their selected foals.
Once again Portuguese investor Thiago Mantovani made the day for an auction, this time securing five foals for his growing breeding programme at Mantovani Horses with bases in Portugal and Germany. Mantovani paid the top price of 65,000 euro for Vaskur EF, a colt by Glamourdale x De Niro. The Portuguese further bought colt Dynamic Energy 2S (by Dynamic Dream x Escamillo) for 22,000 euro, filly La Vie est Belle S (by Escamillo x Franklin) for 20,000 euro, and Valeron KS (by McLaren x Gribaldi) and Valentino Turfhorst (by Total Diamond PS x For Romance) for 12,000 euro,
Sharing the price highlight title with Vaskur EF is filly Silberaster K (by Viva Gold x De Niro x Sndro Hit), whose grand dam is WCYH bronze medal winner and Bundeschampion Silberaster. She also sold for 65,000 euro, but the identity of the owner was not revealed.
Veruca Salt DSV (by Total Diamond PS x For Romance) went for 19,000 euro, Vasari (by Vino Tino x Dreamcatcher) for 12,000 euro, and V.I.P. Texel (by Dream Boy x Jerenzo Texel) for 11,000 euro.
The palomino Vincento Gold (by Qandid x Kjento), Väddö (by O Toto van de Wimphof x Bordeaux) and Viva Royal (by Viva Romance x Rohdiamant) went for 10,000 euro.
