The Portuguese Equestrian Federation has naled its team for the 2025 European Dressage Championships in Crozet, France, on 26 - 31 August 2025.
Portugal is fielding three of its Olympic team riders and one "newcomer", 59-year old Nuno Palma e Santos, who came closest to team nomination 15 years ago when he was named Portugal's 2010 WEG team reserve. Last year Nuno declined to be named Olympic team reserve for Paris due to the age of the horse, this year he's on the team with his 10-year old Fortunity.
The Portuguese team includes:
- João Moreira - Drosa Fuerst Kennedy OLD
- João Torrão - Lirio MVL
- Maria Caetano - Hit Plus
- Nuno Palma Santos - Fortunity S
No reserve was officially named, although Mariana Assis Silva (Iji HP), Carlos Pinto (Joolz), and Paris Olympian Rita Ralao (Irao) are officially on the nominated entry list.
Portugal no longer has a team trainer. The team will be captained by António Frutuoso de Melo.
