47th P.S.I. Auction: 52 Young Talents, Proven Bloodlines and a Legacy of Champions

Great sport horses are not made in the auction ring. Their stories begin years earlier, with carefully considered breeding decisions, generations of proven bloodlines and the expertise to recognise exceptional talent.

On Saturday, 12 December 2026, the 47th Performance Sales International (P.S.I.) Auction will present 52 outstanding young prospects in Ankum, Germany – 26 dressage horses and 26 showjumpers – each selected with the ambition that has defined P.S.I. for more than four decades: to produce tomorrow's champions.

The traditional P.S.I. Gala on Friday, 11 December, will set the stage for the prestigious auction.

Commitment to Quality

The 2026 P.S.I. Collection reflects the breeding philosophy of founders Paul Schockemöhle and Ullrich Kasselmann, whose commitment to quality and performance has established P.S.I. as one of the most respected names in international sport horse sales.

The results speak for themselves: P.S.I. graduates have repeatedly demonstrated their ability to perform at the highest level. The FEI World Championships Aachen 2026 provided another impressive showcase of that success.

Where Future Champions are Bred

What sets P.S.I. apart is the depth of knowledge behind every horse offered for sale. By the time a young prospect enters the auction ring in Ankum, Schockemöhle and Kasselmann already know its history and potential.

At Lewitz Stud and Osthoff Stud, decades of strategic breeding have created the genetic foundations for future P.S.I. athletes. Proven dam lines are carefully paired with stallions selected not simply for fashionable pedigrees, but for the qualities their offspring have demonstrated in international sport.

The objective is clear: to produce sound, rideable horses with the talent, temperament and athletic ability for successful careers at the highest level. From breeding and rearing to professional training, every stage is guided by this ambition. The 2026 collection continues that tradition, offering buyers carefully selected young athletes backed by the knowledge and international track record of two of the sport's most influential horsemen.

Dressage: Outstanding pedigrees with Grand Prix potential

The dressage collection features some of the most powerful bloodlines in modern breeding, with sires including Fürst Zonik, Fürst Jazz, Dynamic Dream and Total Hope.

Particularly promising are the family connections to established sport horses. Among the 26 dressage prospects are close relatives of Christoph Koschel's Grand Prix star Destare and Bundeschampion Saniola, as well as horses related to Marieke van der Putten's Forza RS2 and Yara Reichert's emerging Grand Prix talent Force Majeure. A full brother to premium stallion Grey Tonic adds further distinction to a collection rich in quality, movement and potential.

Showjumping: Championship bloodlines and exceptional athleticism

The 26 young jumpers are equally compelling, with offspring of the late Chacoon Blue, Diaron OLD, his son Diablue PS and the consistently successful Conthargos among the selection.

Several youngsters have close family ties to established international performers. Among them is a half-brother to Chacco Volo, who claimed team bronze at the 2026 FEI Jumping World Championships under Adrian Whiteway, as well as a licensed stallion whose dam is a half-sister to Cian O’Connor’s Aachen mount Chatolinue PS. The collection also includes a half-sister to O’Connor’s Grand Prix horse Canbella Blue PS and an impressive son of five-star jumping mare Chacstara.

Together, they illustrate the strength of the P.S.I. breeding programme, combining scope, technique and athleticism with the qualities required for the international sport.
