The second edition of the "Equine Elite" will become a fact at the renowned "Academy Bartels" in Hooge Mierde on Saturday 28th October 2006, just one day before the "Global Dressage Forum".
Approximately 30 elite dressage horses, between 2 and 8 years old in levels varying upto Prix st George, will be auctioned in the impressive and exclusive surroundings of the Academy.
The aim of Equine Elite is to organize, present and auction a group of Dressage prospects, regardless of their origin or breeding, that display the talent and ability to sustain an illustrious Dressage career, whilst catering to the requirements of riders of all levels. At the same time the organizers wish to establish an annual event that captures the essence of the sport in an unforgettable atmosphere.
One of the most unique characteristics of Equine Elite, and one that we are extremely proud of, is that the selection has been conducted by a group of professionals representing every angle of the dressage sport - one of the most diverse groups of professionals imaginable, combining International and Olympic level Judges, International riders, trainers and International Dealers.
The board of selectors consists of:
- Mr. J. Peters - "O" level judge
- Mrs. F. Verbeek - "O" level judge
- Mrs. K. van der Heijden – International Grand Prix rider and current Member of the Dutch Squad
- Mr. L. van Lieren - International Grand Prix rider and Member of the Dutch Senior team.
- Mr. D. Wigmans - International trainer of several International Grand Prix combinations.
- Mr. C. Rawlins - International Dealer
All horses have, of course, be vetted including complete sets of x-rays.
The criteria for acceptance into the auction has been adjusted so that it is stricter that a normal international sales vetting as carried out by all Dutch and German clinics.
The Vetting will be conducted by the veterinary practice in Someren, renowned as one of the most stringent veterinary practices in the Netherlands. The Veterinary Centre in Someren is also one of the largest clinics in the Netherlands, boasting 22 vets.
During the auction the Veterinary Centre will of course be represented, to answer all and any questions you may have concerning the health of the horses.
The Presentations of all the horses under the saddle will take place on:
- Wednesday 25th October @ 18:30h
- Saturday 28th October @ 14:00h
It is possible, by appointment to try the horses at your convenience between now and the 28th Oktober.
Officially, the stables will be open for viewing and it will be possible to try the horses at the following times:
- Wednesday 25th of October @ 09:00h till 17:00h
- Thursday 26th of October @ 09:00h till 17:00h
- Friday 27th of October @ 14:00h till 22:00h
