2010 Classical Sales Warendorf

The date for the first presentation of the CSW collection has been set: at 11am on February 28, the carefully-chosen selection of talented horses will be shown to the public for the first time.

“The preparations for the auction are going perfectly. We have a qualified team of exceptional riders who are training the horses under the supervision of Susanne Miesner,” reports Fabian Scholz, Head of Marketing and Sales.

This team also includes Jessica Süss, the successful S-level rider who has already made a name for herself with bronze medals at the 2007 Bundeschampionat and at the 2008 World Championships for six-year-old dressage horses.

The collection includes highly talented dressage horses, ranging from four to nine-year-olds. There are no restrictions in terms of breeding areas; this is exemplified by the fact that the collection boasts, among others, the Baden Württemberg-branded winner of the 2009 Marbach Licensing, who also won the Baden Württemberg Landeschampionat. Bundeschampion-producer Sandro Hit is represented by a state-approved Rhinelander mare, Hanoverians are represented by Stedinger and Brentano offspring, while Westphalia and Oldenburg are represented, respectively, by Ehrentanz and Sandro Star offspring, among others. “The choice of horses was made purely on the basis of excellent quality, push-button rideability, transparency in breeding and upbringing, and sound initial training. Furthermore, we have included horses who have shown a lot of potential for international success,” said PferdewirtschaftsmeisterinSusanne Miesner. The second edition of the CSW Auction will take place on her premises, the Wietelshof near Warendorf, on March 25 at 7pm.

The collection will be presented through videos on the internet website in the coming days, and potential customers will be able to try the horses out from February 20 onwards. Prior arrangement is recommended – otherwise you might just discover that the horse you want to try is out in the paddock. “All of our auction horses are allowed to relax in the paddocks in addition to their daily training schedule. That is one of our principles, just like the fact that the horses should be trained in a classical manner which always respects their age,” explained Miesner. The premiere of the CSW Auction was a great success in 2009: the top-priced horse went for 150,000 euros, with an average price of 43,000 and five horses exchanging hands for over 50,000 euros. Delighted buyers from Chile, Luxembourg, Russia, Poland and Holland all secured themselves talented horses.

For our American customers, Fran Goodsell of Auction Connection will be present at the shows in Wellington, Florida and will be delighted to offer individual consultancy. He will present the CSW auction horses at his stand and will be ready to answer all your questions about the auction, as well as offering any kind of assistance regarding your trip to Germany, the trying out of the horses and the bidding process. Don’t hesitate to talk to him!
