Jennie Loriston-Clarke to Sell Her Catherston Stud

Horse and Hound reported that Jennie Loriston-Clarke will be selling her Catherston Stud farm as well as the majority of her horses at an open day on 19 June.

The 67-year old Loriston-Clarke (née Bullen) and her husband Anthony want to downsize and are putting their broodmares and young stock up for sale. Twenty-six foals, colts, fillies, brood mares and sport horses and ponies as well as tack and their lorry will be up for sale at the open day hosted at Croft Farm near Over Wallop in Hampshire. 

Catherston Stud was founded in 1949 and licensed stallions Dutch Courage, Dutch Gold and Catherston Dazzler stood there at stud, amongst others. Jennie Loriston-Clarke is an international judge and a former Olympian. She competed at the 1972 (Munich), 1976 (Montreal), 1984 (Los Angeles) and 1988 Olympics (Seoul).
