On the final first phase viewing day ten dressage colts and six show jumpers were added to the group of stallions that can move on to the second phase of the 2012 KWPN Stallion Licensing.
The stallion licensing committee selected 10 dressage colts, which are born in 2009 as well as one 3,5-year old show jumper.
Especially the offspring of licensing champion Ampere (by Rousseau x Flemmingh) impressed. "The offspring of Ampere has a large framed model with much flexion in the joints in trot," said licensing committee chair Arie Hamoen. "The canter was a bit on the forehand though, but overall his get left a very positive impression."
One of the most striking colts of the day was Eastwood (by Ampere x Juventus), which had a very good canter, and Edmondo B (by Ampere x Jazz), which had three good paces and a strong hind leg.
Johnson (by Jazz x Flemmingh) sired two colts that passed for the second phase. The supple Elton John CL (by Johnson x Balzflug) stood out.
Colts accepted for the second phase are:
- Excalibur (by Ampere x De Niro)
- Elancourt (by Ampere x Stedinger)
- Eastwood S (by Ampere x Juventus)
- Elton Sollenburg (by Ampere x Fidermark)
