Swedish Grand Prix rider and Olympian Louise Nathhorst has been named Swedish Dressage Trainer of the Year 2011 by the Swedish Dressage Trainers Club and Swedish Dressage Committee.
The Swedish magazine Ridsport reported that this honour was bestowed upon "Lussan" mainly because of the success of her student Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven. Nathhorst has dedicated herself to:
"Many years of high quality training of many combinations up to Grand Prix level. The close collaboration with Tinne Vilhelmson is a shining example as she is now part of the world top with an impressive list of achievements to boot. Lussan made a major contribution to many riders who started at Grand Prix level in 2011."
Nathhorst was also praised for her total dedication to each rider. "With great skill she supports riders with different backgrounds on their way to the national and international top placings. As a trainer she is a good example with her knowledge, experiencce and strong involvement with her students."
Nathhorst will receive 15,000 SEK, a certificate and special prize from the Per Johansson's Memorial Fund at the Gothenburg Horse Show on Saturday 25 February 2012.
