More than 50 quality foals will come under the hammer at the 2014 Danish Warmblood’s Elite Foal Auction on Saturday 30 August 2014. The foals have been carefully chosen in deference to sport type, functionality and performance pedigree.
Danish Warmblood’s Auction Committee is proud to present a collection of international caliber foals for the Elite Foal Auction 2014. The 57 foals consist of 42 dressage prospects and 15 show jumping prospects, offering 37 colts and 20 fillies.
– Last year we presented Europe’s most impressive collection of fillies. This year I think we have the strongest collection of colts. We are very excited for the upcoming auction, says auctioneer Casper Cassøe.
The Danish Warmblood champion stallion, performance test winner, and recently crowned world champion for 5-year-old dressage horses, Sezuan by Blue Hors Zack / Blue Hors Don Schufro, has sired no less than five of the selected foals, all of which are outstanding and by far exceed the quality of Sezuan foals seen at other auctions this season. Several of them are considered to be among the highlights of this auction.
No matter if the foals are of dressage or show jumping pedigree, the selection process has had modern type, athleticism and a successful pedigree as definite criteria. A great deal of the foals come out of highly graded mares, which are elite mares or dams of licensed stallions, and derive from famous dam lines that guarantee excellent types and great sport potential.
