German based American Casey Nilsson (née Dornan) has sold her Grand Prix horse Pentimento to German Anna Jaworski-Nolte. Pentimento was a 2013 Louisdor Cup finalist.
Pentimento is an 11-year old Hanoverian bred gelding by Prince Thatch xx x De Niro x Figaro x Goldstern, which is bred by U.S. Grand Prix rider Catherine Haddad-Staller. Nilsson took over ownership of the small bay gelding when Haddad moved back to the U.S.A.. She trained him up to Grand Prix level.
Nilsson and Pentimento made their Grand Prix debut in 2012 and qualified for the 2013 Louisdor Cup Finals for German Developing Grand Prix horses. They finished 11th in the Finals in Frankfurt with a 63.00% score. In 2014 they contested the Louisdor Cup again but did not make it to the Finals.
Pentimento has now been sold to Anna Jaworski, an aspiring German Grand Prix rider, who recently married Hans Nolte, ceo of Hahn Airlines. Nolte is currently building a state of the art equestrian facility, Hofgut Rosenau, in Dreiech, Germany, where Belgian Grand Prix rider Carl Cuypers will be head trainer. Currently Jaworski-Nolte's horses are based at Nussbaumhof in Grossostheim, Germany.
Coached and guided by Cuypers, Jaworski made her international show debut last year at the 2014 CDI Perl aboard Sir Arthur TSF (by Buddenbrock x Consul) which she competed in the Medium Tour.
Nolte and Jaworski have already seriously invested in good horse stock. They acquired Minna Telde's youngster Bilan (by Bocelli x Donnerschlag), which Cuypers competed at the 2014 World Young Horse Championships in Verden. In December 2013 the couple flew to Australia, where they acquired Daniele Dierk's 8-year old Oldenburg World Royal (by World of Dream x Rubin Royal). Other acquisitions include Jochen Arl's Don Ulrik (by Don Schufro x Urprinz) and Julia Mestern's eventer Feenzauber (by Connery x Sancoussi).
