The French Equestrian federation has announced the team that will represent France at the 2015 European Dressage Championships in Aachen, Germany, on 11 - 16 August 2015.

The team announcement has not been without controversy as long-time French team member Marc Boblet was not picked on the team despite recent good performance in Compiegne and at the 2015 French Championships Vierzon this weekend, where the final team observation trial took place.

Two weeks ago French A-team rider Alexandre Ayache sold his Grand Prix horse Lights of Londonderry abroad after being snubbed from the French team for the CDIO Rotterdam and feeling underestimated of his team potential by the selectors.

The French team selection is based on the decisions by Sophie Dubourg (FFE Technical Director), Emmanuelle Schramm (FFE Technical Director for Dressage) and Jan Bemelmans (national team trainer and selector).

The French team for Aachen includes:

  • Ludovic Henry - After You
  • Arnaud Serre - Robinson de la Font
  • Karen Tebar - Don Luis
  • Pierre Volla - Badinda Altena

A team reserve was not announced.
