The Mexican Equestrian Federation has officially confirmed the nomination of Bernadette Pujals as Mexico's individual respresentative for dressage at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The dressage Olympics take place on 10 - 15 August 2016 at the Deodoro equestrian centre 40 minutes north west of Rio de Janeiro.
The Mexican equestrian federation was allocated one individual spot as Bernadette Pujals became the highest ranked athlete in Group E in the Grand Prix at the 2015 Pan-American Games.
Pujals has qualified for Rio with Pamela Honey de Franco's and Edith Vega's 13-year old Danish warmblood gelding Heslegaards Rolex (by Heslegaards Rubin x Heslegaards Louis).
The combination has lately been training in Germany with Dorothee Schneider and most recently competed at the CDI Stadl Paura in Austria, scoring 68.480% in the Grand Prix, and the CDI Mannheim in Germany, scoring 69.920% in the Grand Prix.
Pujals will be assisted in Rio by María Edith Vega Manero as chef d'equipe, Joana Rathjens as groom and Luz Gabriela López Navarro as veterinarian.
