British Junior and Young Rider Selectors have announced their teams for the 2016 European Junior and Young Riders Championships to be held in Oliva Nova, Spain on 19 – 24 July 2016.
Britain's short listed junior and young riders, with the exception of the Dutch based Charlotte Fry and Emily Bradsahw, came to Kilbees Farm, Windsor on 18-19 June with their horses for a training camp where the final teams were picked.
Representing Great Britain in Oliva Nova are:
British Junior Riders Team:
- Rebecca Bell (16) - Waranos (chestnut, gelding, 15.3hh, 13yrs, s. Fidermark)
- Charlotte Dicker (17) - Sabatini (dark bay, mare, 16.2hh, 11yrs, s. Stedinger
- Alexandra Hellings (16) - Uvender V (bay, gelding, 16hh, 15yrs, s. Krack C)
- Phoebe Peters (16) - Denford Surprise (bay, gelding, 17.1hh, 17yrs, s. Concord)
The first non-travelling reserve is Rose Hugh-Smith (17) on Florentino, the second non-travelling reserve is Emily Bradshaw (17) on Remarkable.
British Young Riders Team:
- Rebecca Edwards (19) - Ufano II (grey, stallion, 15.2hh, 15yrs, s. Indeciso)
- Joanna Thurman-Baker (18) - Highcliffe Apollo (bay, gelding, 16.2hh, 14yrs, s. Der Lenz)
- Amy Schiessl (20) - Mr Mercury (skewbald, gelding, 16.2hh, 15yrs, s. Mars
- Robyn Smith (20) - Foold Uz (bay, gelding, 16.1hh, 18yrs, s. Fulton)
The first non-travelling reserve is Charlotte Fry (20) on Black Pearl, the second non-travelling reserve is Lucy Pincus (19) on Doncalisto.
