The 6-year old Danish warmblood bred Vincent Maranello has been sold to American young rider Lauren Asher as an FEI level hopeful. Andreas Helgstrand sold the dark bay licensed stallion, who has been gelded to focus on sport.
The 1.76 m standing Vincent Maranello is bred by Jane Gry Haugum and is by Zack out of Carrera (by Future Cup x Romancier x Weltstar). He was licensed at the 2013 Danish Warmblood stallion licensing in Herning and won the the 2013 Danish Autumn Stallion Performance Testing with 866 points.
Owned by Andreas Helgstrand, the stallion started his show career under assistant trainer Thomas Sigtenbjerggaard. As a 4-year old the horse placed 11th at the 2014 Danish Young Horse Championships in Odense. As a 5-year old Vincent Maranello contested the 2015 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, where he finished 9th in the finals with 8.24 points. At the 2015 Danish Nationals he was fifth.
This year the pair competed at the 2016 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo and finished 7th in the Consolation Finals with 78.40 points. The horse scored 8.5 for trot, 7.6 for walk, 7.5 for canter, 7.7 for submission and 7.9 for general impression. At the 2016 Danish Young Horse Championships in October the pair was 6th in the Finals with 8.34 points.
Vincent Maranello will now continue his dressage career with the 20-year old Asher, who recently relocated from California to the Netherlands. Asher also bought a schoolmaster and will take her horses to her parents' farm in Florida for the winter show season. Asher found her two horses through Mette Rosencrantz.
"The (Asher) family asked me to help them find a super horse. So I tried many great horses, rode and rode and picked one more of a schoolmaster for Lauren and then a top horse for the future," Rosencrantz told Eurodressage. "Vincent is a top top horse and I hope it will be a great and exciting journey for them to reach the goal. A horse of a life time."
Rosencrantz and Helgstrand have been collaborating on several prominent sales. Mette bought the Danish bred Grand Prix horse Marron (by Michellino) in Denmark and now competes him at Grand Prix level in the U.S.A. In 2013 she also mediated the sale of the renowned stallion De Noir to the U.S.A. He is now gelded and has been working as Asher's young rider's horse.
